Could it have been possible not to have found “Cam Atolyesi” with this man, whom I describe as “the man who can drive a nail through glass”, in order to make the most difficult and perfect pieces, and not to feel this excitement again? Is it possible not to get excited again?...
Is it possible not to be affected by the extraordinary heritage of numerous civilisations that had prevailed on the soil where we are living now, not to stand as a protector to them, not to interpret them, and not to carry them to our present time?... Is it possible not to be interested in, not to research and re-interpret how and what our near and far neighbouring countries that had also been influenced by this heritage have interpreted them in the past and today... Of course, not!
During the whole making process of the items in this collection, no such things as moulds, etc. are used. Each item is made after a long and meticulous process of cutting, carving, grinding and eroding by hand one by one just like forming a single marble statue. Not in any stage, neither sanding nor similar techniques are used.
The items are created only through traditional and ancient methods. Each item in the collection is unique. Each design is produced in very small quantities.
No item is the same with another one, as it is almost impossible to duplicate a piece. Each item is autographed by hand. |
